Welcome to Finickal

Welcome to Finickal

Let’s take a new film and television themed voyage together.

So what does Finickal mean? It’s not just the mashing of the words finicky and cynical, it’s a lifestyle. And believe it or not, it’s a positive outlook.

We love media as much as we love food, and it’s time to get a little serious and meticulous about our art. Regardless if it’s a movie, a television show, a game, a comedy special, or a book; it’s important to us. And hey - not just us, but to millions of people all over the world.

So, I’m Terry Erickson, and it’s nice to meet you all. I hope you like what I have to say. If you don’t, then I hope you like what Andrew Bullis, Finickal’s co-founder and editor, has to say. And if you don’t like what he’s got, I’m hoping you like the pieces that our talented group of contributors has to offer.

Finickal has no current plans for film news updates; this place is editorial driven. We’ll be doing reviews, and when that Star Wars trailer finally goes online, you bet your asses we’re gonna be talking about it. But otherwise, this place is strictly for critical purposes.

Since we’re still forming, we’d love your input! What do you like? What don’t you like? Please go ahead and give us a shout if you have an opinion you need to get off your chest. Or, hell, if you an idea for a piece, we’re always looking to expand our stable of contributors.

We will be changing and tinkering as we go, so we totally appreciate your patience! We’re working on ad space and our social media pages (click on the Facebook and Twitter icons at the top if you wanna give us a like and/or follow!), and we’ll have a Disqus board here for you all as well.

If you made it to the end of this introduction, you’re one of us now.

Terry Erickson is a screenwriter, lifelong film fan, and all around good guy based in Baltimore, MD. He's driven across America twice, is obsessed with Back To The Future, and loves almost everybody.
